*Sigh*

Well, here I am. Auchterarder, Scotland. I have arrived safe and sound with all my bags and a bit of an adventure already.

Carolin and Mirjam, co-workers at the school, were waiting for me when I arrived in Edinburgh. They have been here three years and five years respectively and they have already been a huge help with questions and giving me tours etc. They're both around my age but the other volunteers arriving this weekend will likely be just out of high school.

Scotland is beautiful but the bagpipers must be on holiday because I have not heard them playing along the roads yet. The hills in this part of Scotland anyway, seem to jut up out of the fields rather than roll. It is green everywhere and it is cloudy although I haven't seen much rain yet and it is unusually warm.

I love Ochil Tower already. From High Street in town you turn down a shady drive to reach the school which has brick paths through and around the gardens and ponds to reach any number of the equally gorgeous buildings. From my room I look out onto a garden and the yard for the chickens and geese. This morning I heard the rooster crowing. That may take some getting used to. I'm such a city girl.

I'll leave you there for now and I'll have to include pictures later. My computer is not connected to the internet yet but I hope soon.

To all who are reading this, take care and know that I miss you all terribly.
