YIPPEE!!!
I came home from London today, checked my post and what was waiting there for me.....?
A big brown envelope containing none other than my long lost passport which now includes a residence permit!! I am now officially allowed to stay through July as a voluntary worker. Nice to have that stress over with only four months left here.
you'll be on your way up! you'll be seeing great sights! you'll join the high fliers who soar to high heights.

I was just realizing that since my last London trip I have only posted once (!!!). This is a fact that is new to me but I am sure it is one which you all are quite aware of. I am promising now that when I am next sitting down at my own computer it will be to post a new blog.
Today I am looking forward to my last day in London with Kelsi. For those of you who don't know, Kelsi is here visiting for the next couple of weeks. Yippee! It was a slightly emotional reunion which had us both in tears. It happens :) I will fill you in on all that we have been doing in my next post but for now I'll have to wrap it up as I'm paying for every minute here.
Take care and stay tuned.
Notting hill and a 9 hour bus ride home here we come!!

Spring in Scotland?
I'm not sure if it is spring time here or not. I don't even think Scotland knows. The flowers are coming up all over and the trees are budding but the cold and the snow are lurking about. I am very hopeful however, and whenever there is sun I'm desperate to be outside enjoying it. To enjoy it of course, means that I am still bundled up to my chin because it is so cold, but the sun is shining!! I love it just to take a book outside and find a patch of sun and sit in the quiet reading. I have also concluded, that Scotland is really beautiful when the sun is shinning. I don't know why the sun doesn't shine here more often, it is so much nicer.
Today happens to feel very springy, which makes me quite happy. This morning I woke to a beautiful orange sky. I wanted to take a picture, but then I fell back asleep, and when I woke up for good it had faded. You'll just have to take my word for it, it was spectacular!
Of course, another side effect of spring in Scotland are the midges. Something else I experienced first hand this morning. When I woke I found that only one eye opened properly. The other..........swollen shut thanks to a midge bite just above my eye. The swelling has gone down quite a bit at this point but let me tell you, I was looking good this morning. Oh yeah, I can sport the puffy eye look. No, I don't have any photos of my puffy eye either but here are a couple of a springish Scotland.
